Happy Halloween! We hope you have a safe and spooktactular time 👻

If you are trick or treating tonight please remember:

🎃 Check the labels on any fancy dress costumes for fire resistance and a registered trademark
🎃 Keep all fancy dress costumes away from naked flames
🎃 Use LED candles in pumpkins - they are much safer than real flames BUT remember they may contain a small round button-battery which can be fatal if accidentally swallowed, so always keep away from children
🎃 All costumes can catch fire but cheap products may not have been tested and could burn quickly if they caught fire
🎃 Burn injuries last a lifetime - remember if clothing does catch fire to STOP, DROP and ROLL until the fire is out
🎃 In an emergency remember immediate Burns First Aid COOL with water for 20 mins, CALL for urgent medical assistance and COVER burn with cling film or a clean lint free cloth
🎃 Help make children more visable to drivers by adding reflective taple to their clothing or accessorising with glow sticks
🎃 When you get home, remember to check the treats your child has collected for choking hazards such as hard sweets, marshmallows, lollipops or mini-eggs that could get stuck in a child's airway
